I am Lydia Schnitzer, a high-end fine art and fantasy photographer who captures the essence of the authentically unique.

As a mother of three young children, I spend a lot of time in nature where I find inspiration by the beauty of creation and the hidden worlds that exist in plain sight. My fascination for people and their unique stories goes far back into my early childhood, when I listened to my grandma’s adventures for hours. Whenever time permits, I still listen to/ read books about the human spirit, history and mythology.

For the longest time, I thought it was normal to vividly see images and scenes in my mind, when listening to stories. Now, I know it is a gift not everyone received, and I intend to use it to empower my subjects and the viewer.

All of these things inform my work as a fine art and fantasy photographer, and I strive to create images that are both timeless and deeply personal. 

I create both, bespoke photo sessions for private clients, as well as my own line of work, such as limited edition fine art prints and hand embellished giclées.

While my passion and love for art dates back to my early childhood, I recently found my way to fine art and fantasy photography. I combined my skills and years of experience as a graphic designer, photographer and painter in January of 2023 and “birthed” Lydia Schnitzer Imagery. 

Since then I have been published internationally in art magazines, galleries and have sold pieces to art collectors and art lovers.
