Welcome to the home of Lydia Schnitzer Imagery. My work transcends portraiture; it is the creation of heirloom art. I am committed to a standard of excellence validated by my recent achievement: earning the Master Photographer designation through the PPA in June 2025. This commitment informs every custom portrait and commissioned piece I create, ensuring it is of gallery-worthy caliber.

My fascination with the human spirit, history, and mythology is lifelong. Inspired by hours spent listening to my grandmother’s adventures and countless books on creation and human history, I discovered a unique gift: the ability to vividly see images and scenes in my mind when listening to a story. This visualization is the bedrock of my work.

I founded Lydia Schnitzer Imagery in January 2023, combining years of experience as a graphic designer, painter, and photographer. This unique blend allows me to move beyond simple capture; I meticulously hand-paint every final image in post-production, dedicating dozens of hours to transform a photograph into a truly unique, timeless piece of art.

I create both bespoke fine art sessions for private clients in my Bespoke Portrait Studio, as well as my own line of work, which includes limited edition fine art prints and hand-embellished giclées. I approach every commission—from classic Rembrandt portraits to complex Heirloom Art Commissions—with the goal of delivering a conversation piece that will be passed down for generations.

Since launching, my pieces have been published internationally in various magazines, featured in galleries, and acquired by dedicated art collectors and patrons.
